| West bank station West Bank Station serves the Cedar-Riverside and University of Minnesota communities. The design recognizes the areas immigrant communities through patterns on architectural mesh and depicts the migratory bird thruway of the nearby Mississippi by hanging soaring bird imagery cut out of stainless. The two stairwell platforms are the location of the integrated artwork. Fabrication of birds: Fedtech, St. Paul, MN Etching of architectural wire mesh: GKD-USA, Inc., Cambridge, MD Design documentation and execution: Andrew Dodson Central Corridor Light Rail Project (CCLRT) This project involves integrating artwork into three distinct light rail stations along the CCLRT in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. The stations will be complete by late 2013.  |
